Vane Starters

Ingersoll Rand Vane air starters are very well known and used across the world, the combination of simple and strong designs are very easy in maintenance and have a phenomenal reputation when it comes to performance and durability.

The Vane motor produces maximum horsepower at a much lower speed, which is 5 thousand to 6 thousand RPM, all the motor needs is a small amount of lubrication for maximum life expectancy.

Because of the decreased speed while still maintaining the ability to deliver a great deal of horse power, it improves bearing life and is able to deliver more torque per pound of weight compared to piston air motors.

Turbine Starters

There is a significant difference between a Vane motor and a Turbine motor, because the latter is lighter in weight and does not need lubrication and can store an enormous amount of energy.

At 60,000 RPM it is clear a turbine starter develops its power at extremely high rotational speeds, limited speed wise only by design and because it’s build with the most modern composite materials it is also insensitive to moisture.
